Sadaqah Jariyah is continuous charity — a gift that keeps giving long after it is made. A water well drawn from for twenty years, a classroom that teaches generation after generation, a fruit tree that feeds a neighbourhood. For as long as people benefit, the reward continues to be written for the one who gave.
“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Sahih Muslim)
In Palestine, where infrastructure has been damaged and communities have lost the services they depended on, ongoing charity is transformative. A single well can serve hundreds of families every day. A rebuilt classroom can educate children for decades. Sadaqah Jariyah is how one act of giving becomes a permanent part of a community’s life.

Sadaqah is any voluntary charity, including one-off help such as a meal or a
donation for immediate relief. Sadaqah Jariyah is a subset of Sadaqah whose
benefit continues over time, so the reward continues to accrue for the giver.
This depends on the project. Zakat must reach an eligible individual recipient,
so it generally cannot fund permanent infrastructure such as a building. Some
scholars permit Zakat for wells serving Zakat-eligible communities. If you intend
your donation as Zakat, please tell us and we will direct it to a
Zakat-appropriate project. [TO CONFIRM with religious advisor before
